XRP/USD: technical analysis

Current trend

Since mid-last month, the XRP/USD pair has been in a sustained downtrend in line with the broader market bias. Over this period, price action has exited the medium-term sideways range of 1.3671 to 1.5136 (Murray level [4/8]–[7/8]), breaking below its lower boundary, and is now testing the 1.1718 level (Murray level [0/8]), which has remained intact since February this year. Consolidation below this level would open the way towards downside targets at 1.0742 (Murray level [−2/8]), 0.9300, and 0.7812 (Murray level [2/8], W1). Conversely, a decisive breakdown below 1.3671 (Murray level [4/8]), with additional support from the Bollinger Bands midline, would allow buyers to regain previously lost positions and shift focus towards 1.5136 (Murray level [7/8]) and 1.6600 (Murray level [+2/8]).

Technical indicators support the continuation of the prevailing downside dynamics: the Bollinger Bands are turning lower, the MACD is expanding in negative zone, while the Stochastic has entered oversold conditions, suggesting a potential corrective rebound cannot be ruled out, although its upside scope seems limited. It is also worth noting that the Bollinger Bands on the weekly chart are still trending lower, confirming the persistence of the longer-term trend, while the price has likely completed the Flag formation within the prevailing downtrend, which constitutes an additional signal reinforcing the “bearish” momentum.

Resistance levels: 1.3671, 1.5136, 1.6600.

Support levels: 1.1718, 1.0742, 0.9300, 0.7812.

Trading tips

Short positions should be opened below the level of 1.1718 with the targets at 1.0742, 0.9300, 0.7812 and stop loss at 1.2430. Implementation period: 5–7 days.

Long positions should be opened above the level of 1.3671 with the targets at 1.5136, 1.6600 and stop loss at 1.2720.
